Meet your Host:
Westin Wilson
He Fights. He Builds. He Extracts Lessons.
UFC Octagon to Corporate Boardroom
Westin Wilson doesn't do half measures. By day, he's a Director of Product Management: suit and tie, leading teams, designing software, making corporate America work. By night, he's in the gym throwing punches, training for fights, living the life of a UFC veteran who never stopped competing.
Father of three. Husband. BYU grad. Guy who refuses to pick just one lane. Because why choose between the buttoned-up professional world and the raw, unfiltered intensity of combat sports when you can master both?
And that's the thing: living between two extremes taught him something most people miss. The lessons are the same. What makes you better in the cage makes you better in the conference room. What wins fights wins in life. So he created Lessons Learnd to collect that wisdom from everyone who's been in an arena and came out with something worth sharing.
Who we are?
Two Worlds. One Truth.
Most people live in one world. Westin Wilson lives in two. Corporate executive designing software and leading teams. UFC fighter training for cage matches and throwing hands. Boardroom strategy sessions in the morning. Sparring sessions at night. And here's what living between those worlds taught him: "the lessons translate." So Westin started asking: what are other people learning in their arenas?
That's what this podcast is about. Conversations with business leaders who've built empires. Athletes who've competed at the highest level. Musicians who've mastered their craft. Comedians who've bombed a thousand times before they made it. Different arenas. Same question: What did that teach you?
- Real lessons from people who've been in the arena
- New episodes drop every week
- Guests who've actually done the thing, not just talked about it
